APPROXIMATELY 18 jobs are expected to be lost at Omagh electrical engineering firm JMG Systems as part of a “restructuring plan.”
According to an employee, staff at the Derry Road-based company were informed on Wednesday of “15-18 redundancies” which are expected within weeks.
Management did not confirm the redundancies but said they will be “consulting with employees.”
In a statement to the UH, JMG Systems Managing Director, Joann McCaul, said that they were embarking on a “restructuring process” with the ultimate aim of securing their future.
“After growing steadily in the quarry and construction market sectors for the last 40 years, JMG is embarking on a restructuring process to further develop our lean processes and position the company for the changing market conditions and economic climate both now and in the future.
